Conference Keynote

Category: ,

Nairn will be delivering a Keynote address to the 2015 Best Chance Child & Family Care Kindergarten Cluster Conference on Saturday the 21st March.

Nairn’s keynote presentation is titled ‘Supporting Functional Families’

Feelings.. the language of the soul. What we are taught about them by our family, our culture and our experiences in life directly shape who and how we are in the world, in our personal and professional lives. As a child, a parent, as a carer and as an educator.

Nairn will explore this theme with a focus on potential implications for both the children we work with and as an opportunity to engage in professional reflection. She will draw on a range of material including story and an interactive sculpture* to invite us to consider all that we do to support optimal function in our families and communities.

*Please note, for those of you who may have seen Nairn present a family structure representative of one often affected by the impact of changing allegiances, multiple relationships and generational poverty, this family structure offers a completely different perspective!

Nairn will also provide a plenary workshop Session ‘Having that difficult conversation’ to ‘Painting pictures of possibility’ twice during the conference.

If you would like to book Nairn to speak at your conference, please call Shane on 03 6328 1174 or email info@socialsolutions.com.au
